Hello, I'm Gil Mercado, the proud owner of Bow Tie Menswear. My journey began in 2019 when I started this small business from home after recovering from a heart attack and losing my job. Initially, I sold my bow ties to help fund the registration of my business and manage additional expenses.

 

Located in Florida, I encounter constraints due to city regulations. Specifically, I'm not allowed to have a storefront at home, customers cannot pick up their orders, and I can operate only through shipping via mail under my website. These limitations have made it challenging to grow my operation.

 

As a solo small business, my production capacity is restricted, which impacts product availability. This year, I am excited to announce a fundraiser aimed at expanding my business. My goal is to raise enough funds to broaden my product offerings, secure a small warehouse that allows for unrestricted production, and open a brick-and-mortar location named “Bow Tie Menswear.” The gifts collected will be put to use not only to secure a building but also to help with the construction.
